Losing someone you love...

While I am in the midst of updating pictures, I wanted to dedicate this post to a very close friend of mine. She lost someone special this weekend and if anyone knows how that feels it's me. I struggle everyday living without that someone. You never know what to say when someone passes, shock and confusion suddenly fills every thought. My only advice is to just "be." Talk about the incredible times that made you laugh so much you cried...fill your days with family and pictures, and friends. Cry, laugh....

When I lost my mother last year I was told something that I continually remind myself when I find that the day gets too hard to get through. It was our Rabbi who said, everyone was put on this earth to do something, a mission or simply to change someones life, everyone has a purpose. Though we don't understand why these people leave us, it is the understanding that when these special people leave us their work here is complete. I will never understand, but I found it easier to forgive, though selfish I want her to be here when I get excited about my puppies, or share memories with my children, I know that everything is going to be OK and she is watching over me sharing in all of these memories to come.

To my special friend:
Always remember her, and honor her memory by keeping her memory alive. Share stories with friends, family, and know that you have so many people that love you.

  1. This is a beautiful post! I lost my dad when I was younger and it wasn't till I was a little older that it became truly hard. Even though you are sad that your mom isn't here for so many moments that you need her for, like time with your children to be. Just think that she is in heaven with your children to be right now. She gets her own special time with them before they come to earth to be with you! I don't know why that made me feel better with my dad, but it did. And what you said about sharing stories, you should write them down. Keeping a journal of all the memories and stories helps too. And it will be good for you and your children to have! Sorry if this is out of nowhere, but I know some of what you are feeling, and these are some of the things that help me. =)

time and actual effort to create a very good article… but
what can I say… I hesitate a whole lot and never seem to get anything done.
